Give a Laptop, Get a Laptop, Change the World!

Do you feel lucky to be on the internet? Let me rephrase that… Don’t you feel privileged to have a computer and be able access the InterWeb everyday?

I do.

That is why i decided to get FeedingTheCrave readers involved in this season of giving. How? I’ll get to that, But more importantly, WHY? should we get involved. Check out these 2 videos below to see what I saw – an opportunity for us lucky ones to help out.

Who is the “One Laptop per Child Foundation”?

Let’s face it, the children of less fortunate nations out there are born into problems that they do not deserve. But they are the one’s who will carry the burden of solving these problems. Without the proper up-to-date education, these problems will only get worse.

Why Give a Laptop? Can it really change the world?

These kids are just like you and me, curious and eager to learn (only younger). They are this worlds future. If you think about it, by giving a laptop we are helping create future Teachers, future Engineers, even future Bloggers.

What to do next and What’s in it for you?

This is a “Chip in” widget that I will use to collect donations to purchase an XO laptop from the “One Laptop per Child Foundation” to help out a child. For only $399, we can give a laptop to a child in a developing country and we will also receive one XO laptop.

So here is what I propose:

Every US$1 donated by you = 1 contest entry.
