Second Doodle 4 Google Competition 2009 Launched
Google has launched the second annual Doodle 4 Google contest for the year of 2009. This time, the competition will carry the theme of “What I Wish for the World.” Google wants to see how children picture what they want their world to look like in the future.
Last year’s theme for Doodle 4 Google was “What If.”
What is a Doodle 4 Google Competition?
Literally, a doodle is a type of sketch of drawing. Doodle 4 Google Competition meant as a competition to create a Google logo for students in kindergarten through the twelfth grade, aged between 5 and 16. Google will use the submitted sketch on their home page for Google Logo’s special events and holidays.
How to Enter?
To enter the competition, participants need to make sure their school is registered with Google. Teachers will submit the Doodle for their students with each school can only submit six Doodles. Registration closes at 11:59:59 PM Pacific time on March 17, 2009, plus all Doodles need to be submitted by March 31, 2009. Full info can be seen here.
How will it be judged?
Doodle submissions will be judged on is artistic and creativity design and the message that embedded in the statement
What are the prizes?
With the chance that millions of people all over the world will see the Doodle may be the greatest prize itself. Also, the finalist can win prizes such as their Doodle will be displayed on the Google homepage for a day, a laptop computer, a trip to the Google New York Office, a grant for the most active school district, plus all 40 finalists will have their Doodle exhibited at a Smithsonian museum
