Why finding a right niche is important?

Finding a right niche is important to build traffic to your site. To do so, we need to do some research to find out what niche will be attracting more visitor.

First, make a choice, what is your target market. You can imagine the market as a group of people with a common specialized interest. The more specific interest will be better since there is more probability that they are willing to spend money on. So, be specific and be specialized!

Here is example of broad markets:

soccer

fashion

online business

diet

Despite using those general niches, you can alternate them with more specific market:

Manchester United fan

Baby apparels

Ad sense learning

Diet tips and trick

Keep explore your idea, but at the same time, keep your idea narrower.

After we decide in what niche are we going to “play” in, write a series of targeted keyword-targeted articles in various niches. Don’t forget to submit your site to the search engine. By targeting into specialized niche, search engine crawler will place our pages in a better rank.

Don’t get too proud, check your competition

Many internet marketer, of course I mean the newbie one like me J, taught that their site has been marketable enough. Even, without trying to check the competition. However, being dynamic by always make a check to our keywords is a must. Be flexible enough to find the appropriate keyword.

Here are the steps I would try to follow, based on some advice from several internet marketer guides.

Do a search on google for the “logical” keyword that our competitor would use. Try to narrow the search.

For example, in the “online business” niche, I rather choose to search for AdSense learning or “paid per review”

Continue to search “sub niche” to get a couple of result.

On Google, we are going to see the results as articles, pages, ads that get ranked high enough (pages 1-3) for people to find.

Then, analyze every result that we found. Make note on every detail and something different in the page/website. We should ask ourself, what make those page attractive enough to bring visitor and place them in the Google ranking.

Return to the search sub-niche step. Enter a different phare and any modification of words. Keep making a note.

At last, we will able to feel what is the right nice we are going to use in our website.
